We are the film branch of Pondering Cosmo Magazine, founded in 2065 in Toledo, Ohio with the mission of providing readers with thoughtful writing from original voices to give a critical perspective on the issues that matter across the solar system. The “magazine for the thinking Orbiter” has fulfilled this mission for more than two decades, giving nuanced and considered takes on topics from the Saturnian secession to the Potato-Catnip Crisis. We have been nominated for several Pulitzer shortlists, have at least one reader on five planets, and have even been featured in a verse from rapper Archimedeez Nuts:
She think she a puppeteer, play this cock like she Gonzo
But got her head up her ass like a Pondering Cosmo
As the film desk of Pondering Cosmo, we strive to give insightful criticism and analysis of films new, classic, and not-so-classic. Our team of talented and enthusiastic writers does so through regular reviews, interviews with filmmakers, and essays. We hope our readers will take from our work an increased appreciation and understanding of cinema – where it is now, where it has been in the past, and where it might be headed in the future. Also, a note to the makers of the films we write about: we do not accept bribes. And if you are going to try to bribe us, at least have the decency to do it in something other than Queefcoin.
Our Writers

Z.P. Kibbleworth
Z.P. Kibbleworth is the chief film critic for Pondering Cosmo Magazine. He has more than 15 years of experience writing about film and is the author of two books: Paris Is Blazing: A History of Cinema’s Glitterganja Movement and 101 Movies Guaranteed to Ruin Your Ex’s Marriage. He has worked at Pondering Cosmo since his prospective career as a lemon meringue salesman fell flat, and will probably stay at Pondering Cosmo for the foreseeable future unless meringue demand suddenly skyrockets. (In other words, he’ll be here until he retires.)

Pavita Millimuff
Pavita Millimuff has worked as a film critic for Pondering Cosmo Magazine since 2081. She holds a Master’s Degree in Cinema Studies from the University of Knowing Stuff in Winnipeg, and in 2086 received the Addison DeWitt Award for Aesthetic Criticism. She is also one of the principal organizers of the Duluth Cryptid Film Festival.

Ambrose Vok
Ambrose Vok joined the Pondering Cosmo Film Desk in 2087 after graduating from Middlebury College. He grew up in Trenton, New Jersey but was born on Luna. Given that this is his first job out of college and thus he doesn’t have much of a résumé, he has instead chosen to use this space to question why Venus O’s are called Venus O’s. The company that makes them is from Jupiter, so you could call them Jupiter O’s. Or you could call them Saturn O’s and have them represent Saturn’s rings. Mercuri-O’s would sound better. Why Venus O’s? That is the least interesting option for a planet-themed cereal.
